WORK WORK WORK

I am a busy busy boy.  We have an overload at the shop. (That is a good thing)  I have so many projects going on that I am actually running out of table space, and I have a lot of table space at the shop.  We are doing one project for a bar at the West Glen shopping center.  It is called Tonic.  They are located just a couple doors down from another job I did that was really cool.  These will be sweet too.  We are doing three oval tables that are 7 foot by 3 foot.  Here is a picture of the shop with all the projects going on.

So many projects it makes me dizzy

I think the guys at the shop like to make messes in my area.  You can tell by the picture that I keep the form area swept and picked up.  One of my pet peeves is a dirty work area, although you could never tell by looking at my truck.  Well, I may have over reacted this morning when I got to work.  My boss came in about an hour after me and said "It didn't get too dirty in here."   You check out this video and then you be the judge.

After another hour (and an apoligy to my boss) I had some sense of cleanliness back in my area.  Here's the follow-up video.

After clean up we flipped the pieces onto carts and polished them.  They are as sweet as I thought they would be.  I can't wait to sit at one of these tables and order a beer.  Have a look..

It dosen't seem as dirty in his area

pretty

I left work and went to start that side job I was talking about.  When I stopped for gas it was a little shocking.

I got the 96 cents, can someone loan me 84 bucks?
I can't wait for brother Steve to get back to Iowa, maybe he can drive me around in his electric car.  Anyway, when I got to the client's house, I wasn't sure how everything was going to fit together but all my worring was for nothing.  It looks great.  I will go back this week-end and work on part two of the job.  I got back to the shop tonight and the guys were still there.  They were just getting ready to pour another project that goes in a residence.  It is a wine bar that I think will look very sharp.  I helped pour and we will get it off the tables in the morning.  That's good because I have two more projects that need to get started.
We are just putting the finishing touches on a couple tables that we are donating to the Lukiemia Society for an auction they are having.  We gave them some last year and we wanted to out do ourselves.  They are awesome...

I think they will get high bids

Robyn and I have a party to go to tomorrow night that is a benefit for the Lukiemia Society.  It looks like it will be fun,  I will let you know.

Canyon got his test results back and he will most likely need surgery.  That's the bad news, the good news is we found out what is causing his bleeding.  It's called meckel diverticulum.  It's too hard to explain, but you can google it if your curious.
With the work overload that I have, combined with Canyon's medical problems, I sometimes find myself in a rut.  Overwhelmed or in the dumps.  Fortunetly, I have friends who care for us very much.  Terry, from my small group happened to give me something that helps pick me up anytime I feel depressed or in a funk.  I just read it and realize how great things really are.  How I am special and loved.  Here's a copy for you.  These are all things He says we are..

That makes us VIPs, dosen't it?

For more uplifting reading, open a bible and read those verses in context.

I will update you on Canyon and all my projects, as well as tell you about the party we are going to in my next blog.

Peace

Dan
