DO YOU BELIEVE

Monday we decided to try something a little different.  While grocery shopping Sunday I spotted these steaks..

the plate is a hint

We weren't sure how to prepare these and the man at the meat counter was extremely vauge.   So we marinated them in blah blah blah, I'm pretty sure you don't care how we cooked them, you just want to know what the heck they are.  They are swordfish steaks.  We grilled them and they were great.  If you want the recipie, don't ask the man at the meat counter.
Here is a pic of the whole meal..

Robyn opted for half a steak

We also had lemondrop honeydew mellon in our fruit salad.  We live on the edge.

Tuesday night I had to tend bar.  I switched Wednesday for Tuesday because Canyon had surgery Wednesday morning.  So I was anxious to close and get home because we had to be at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning.  I got home around 11 and Canyon was still up.  I thought he may be unable to sleep so I sat down and asked if he wanted to talk.  I found out that he was just messing around on his laptop, ordering new shoes that he designed.  I told him to get to bed.  Then I did the same.

The 4:30 alarm came all too soon.  We all got showered and dressed, loaded all the necessities we would need for an overnight stay at the hospital and pointed the family truckster in that direction.  When we arrived, we said a prayer and then we went in.
These next two photos may be kind of graphic, but they will help explain the surgery.

First, a little history.  Canyon, out of the blue one day, had terrible cramps and went into the bathroom.  After a few moments he hollered to Robyn that we may need to go to the hospital.  He had filled the toilet with blood.  After we arrived at the emergency ward we found out that he had lost a unit of blood.  But they couldn't find a reason for it.  He didn't have another episode after that.  We went home with no answers.
Many months later, maybe even more than a year, it happened again.  Not quite as much blood loss but enough to make us rush to the hospital.  All the tests showed nothing.  Finally the doc ordered a Meckel test.  Canyon ingested some nuclear medecin that is attracted to stomach lining.  A Meckel is a growth on the side of the small intestine that is actually a mini-stomach.  It releases gastric acid into the intestine and causes bleeding ulcers.  It could eat all the way through the intestine wall, leading to major complications and even death.  The test came back positive.  We at last had an answer.  Here is a x-ray of a Meckel test I found online...

red arrow indicates Meckel

The solution was to surgicaly remove the Meckel.  This next photo I got online also.  It shows a Meckel attached to the intestine.  It gives you an idea what the surgeon was looking for.

looks a little like Mick Jagger's lips

Robyn and I went to the waiting room at 7.  We were informed around 8 that Canyon was just beginning his surgery and it would take about an hour.  At just a bit after 9 the surgeon came into the waiting room, and I noticed he had a rather dumb-founded look on his face.  He informed us that he couldn't find any sign of a Meckel.  What?  He said that really with Meckel's diverticulum they were just chasing shadows.  (If you look at the x-ray photo you can kind of get an idea of what he meant.)
However, he said in Canyon's case the x-ray was one of the most certain he had ever seen.  He was absolutly sure it was there.  He told us he scanned the entire lower intestine four times (They never do that) looking for it and found nothing.  As a matter of fact he said that all Canyon's guts were in great shape.  I asked what's next?  He said he didn't know.  He will confer with the doctor that performed the Meckel test and see what he thinks.  I suggested another Meckel test.  Right now it is a wait and see game.

So we went up to see Canyon in the recovery room.  He was very busy as you can see..

Video conference call?

The nurses said he could go home that day if he could drink and then eat with no problems.  Well drinking was no problem because he hadn't had anything to drink in almost 12 hours.  Then he wanted food, so we went to the cafeteria to get something healthy for him.

It has to be good for you, it's hospital food

He had no problem with his food, and he was able to walk the hallways.

We came to the conclusion that the show Scrubs wasn't very realistic because there was virtually no one roaming the halls.
So a nurse came in and said the doctor had cleared him to go home so she would get the paperwork done and we could leave in 15 minutes.  We started getting everything packed up and about 10 minutes later, the fire alarm went off.  We were told there was a fire in radiology on the first floor.  We were on the third floor.  The Griswalds strike again.  When the alarm was finally canceled (an hour later) we were dismissed.
Robyn and I talked about the vanishing Meckel.  I suggested that maybe it was a God thing.  Robyn disagreed saying why would he leave us wondering about Canyon's ailment.  So I did some research.  Meckels don't disappear.  Either you have it for life or it is removed, that's it.  So I thought to myself, sometimes we pray for God to heal our loved ones, especially when it is very serious, like cancer or  A.L.S.  More often than not we don't get the answer we were looking for.  In this case something unexplainable happened and we keep looking for answers.  I have decided to call it a miracle.  Maybe another answer will present itself, but for me it is a prayer answered.  All the glory to God.
Canyon is healing nicely.

I will blog again soon, just wanted to let everyone know what was going on.

Peace

WOTTA WEEK

Wednesday and Thursday were days spent hard at work.  The giant bar we were working on had some very large and heavy pieces.  They had to be wheeled down a hill and through the clients yard, but they weigh so much we couldn't just roll the A-frame through the grass.  So we layed out sheets of plywood and took the one from the back and ran it to the front and continued this process until we made it to the concrete patio.  I imagined what the slaves in Egypt went through while building the pyrimids.  Outside of intermittent periods of light rain, the weather cooperated nicely.  Here are a couple pics of the completed project.

Glad thats done

This guy is living the dream

The stone guys have to replace the missing pieces and we are done.  Here is a lousy video to give you some perspective on the size of this bar.

Friday I hooked up the fiber optics on this bar and went out to another outdoor bar by a pool that we did last fall.  The client wanted us to install some stainless shelving units to hide the fiber optic boxes,  They also add storage space for the bar...

They also match the other stainless behind the bar
This size bar is more realistic
After that was complete, I headed out to install the steel brackets on yet another outdoor bar we will be doing soon.

But all work and no play makes Danny a (choose your own word here) boy.  Robyn texted me about 3 o'clock and asked if I wanted to take her out on a date that night.  My response was  'Duh.  Of course I do.'  So I finished what I was doing and got my butt home and in the shower.

We decided that we would go downtown and sit on a patio to enjoy our dinner, then go to the Des Moines Art Festival.  The city closes down a lot of the downtown area streets by the sculpture garden (it streches for several blocks) and venders come in from all over the country, and the world, to sell their art.  As we approached downtown, we thought we had better go to the art festival first and maybe even eat there because last year Robyn wasn't able to appreciate the sculpture garden due to darkness falling.  We arrived to a teaming throng of people wandering the tent lined streets.  It really is a big deal.  Look at the crowd.  This is facing west..

Note the edge of the red painting on the far right

And here is the view facing east..

Check out the work of art in front checking me out

Robyn and I decided we would splurge and get a piece of art.  We found one that reminded us of a time we sat in chairs on the beach as the tide rolled in.  Some of the waves could have washed us out to sea.  Maybe it was a little crazy, but we won't soon forget it.  And now we found a painting to remind us of that time every day.  It was the red one in the picture.

We think it will be great above our fireplace

We were a little sceptical at the price.  Only $50.  Ok, ok,  so we didn't get the one you saw in the photo above.  It was a little smaller.  Here it is placed on our mantle..

Thats what half a C note gets you

When we splurge, we really go nuts!

As we walked around we found an artist that makes dresses.  You're saying that making dresses is not art.  Well if you use odd material it could be called art.  She used old barn boards, old liscense plates, and we found one that I had to have a picture of.

Just keep it out of the hail

With the price of this dress you could get most of your roof redone.  As we wandered along we saw these.  They were priced fairly high (as was everything).  Robyn said she always see things and thinks to herself, "Dan could make me that."  In this case, I think she's right, and at a far lower price.

I'm not sure where to find the test tube vases tho

As the sun was beginning to set we stopped and grabbed a bite to eat and then walked through the sculpture garden.  This is a permanent park downtown and there are some awesome pieces there.  Here are just a few..

This thing was 8 to 10 feet tall,  made of drift wood

Airhead....see the ballons

Not sure what it is,...  but it's cool

As the evening wore on we ventured into a large tent that said 'Wine and Jazz'.  Two things that we both love.  We were very excited to see BellaSoul performing.  The keyboard player and guitarist are both regulars in the Point of Grace band every Sunday.  The lead singer, Tina House-Findley sometimes sings there too.  Here is a quick video to give you a taste...

We went up after the set and asked if we could hire them for our 25th anniversary.  It is several years from now but Tina said they have gigs booked two years from now so it's never too early.  We will look online to find rates and see how much we have to save.  We did buy one of their cds.

The night was drawing to a close so we figured we better head home,  here is a pic at the end of the night.

came to town to see the sights, hung around to see the lights

We got home just in time to see Canyon and his friends arrive, and they wanted a fire.  So we had a fire..

Get out the hot dogs and marshmellows!

I found out the reason for the fire was to burn old school work.  These kids hate old school work.  They were tearing up note books and feeding the fire like they wanted it hot enough to smelt gold.

Robyn talks about burning thick texas toast

The fire died down and we headed off to bed.  It was a big day.

Saturday, as you could probably guess, was a 'get nothin done day'.  We did manage to get some food in our bellies.

Culver's snack packs...YUM

We rented a movie and lounged around most of the day.

Sunday was church.  It was the conclusion of the God and Country series.  Lead pastor Jeff is pasionate about keeping God in our country.  It makes me think about the squeaky wheel.  It takes all four wheels to keep the car rolling but the squeaky one gets the grease.  The other three just keep on rolling along, without a sound.
That's what is happening in this country.  The majority sit silently while the few who say they don't want to be offended by talk of God get what they want.  God taken out of our country.  Out of the Pledge of Allegiance, out of school, off our curency, off all government buildings.  That's sad.  I think it's time for the other three wheels to start making some noise, because now I'm offended.  What about me?  What about my rights?
Don't lie to yourself and think none of this is true when you know that it is.

Here is one more sculpture from the Des Moines Arts Festival.  I was so drawn to this, and if it wasn't so danged expensive it would be sitting on this desk right in front of me.  It symbolizes everything that I was just talking about.  It's the reason some want God taken out.  And the reason others don't say anything about it.  We all are going through the same thing and aren't sure which way to go.  We may not see it but we all suffer the same tug of war.  It's called 'Self Struggle' and there is wisdom in this piece of art.  We all need to pick a side.  I know which side I choose.

The battle rages on

FORE! FATHER'S DAY

Saturday I had to run to the shop for a few hours to wrap up a project and do a little work on a home project.  Robyn and I are trying to make our bedroom set more updated.  I will post before and after pics when it is done.
Then I had some leisure time.  I ran home, changed clothes, picked up Canyon and we headed to the golf course for the first time in almost a year.  At the 1st tee, I wrestled my driver away from a spider who had taken up residence in my golf bag and proceeded to put my drive in the middle of the fareway.  Unfortunately it was the wrong fareway.  Luckily, Canyon decided to play cart golf and joined me on the 9th fareway for his second shot.
The round went surprisingly well.  I only lost two,..three,.. well I actually lost count of how many balls I lost but I found several, including one that said MOJO in big letters.  I played that ball for the final four holes and had one birdie shot and two par shots.  I didn't make any of them but the fact that I had the chance made my round.  Canyon shot pretty good too and he gets out to the links less often than me.

Sunday we were joined by my sister Debbie at church.  She likes to go when she can and we love to have her come with us.  I know she likes the services but she may be drawn to the church for the yummy donuts.

we want crispy cream!

The lesson is part of a series concerning God in America, or the lack there of.  They talked about how we forget to be thankful to God for all he provides.  Even when we don't think God had his hand in our success, he did.  Many of us at times think we made ourselves properous, myself included.

Do I look guilty?  Don't answer that.

But this is not something new.  It was a problem in the days of Moses.  At church they referenced Deuteronomy.  After God led them through the wilderness, providing and protecting them he showed them the promised land and.. "He did all this so you would never say to yourself  'I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy."  Deuteronomy 8:17.   "..Beware that in your plenty you do not forget your Lord.." Deuteronomy 8:11.
If you haven't read Deuteronomy, you should so you can read all this in context.  It is amazing how all this was written thousands of years ago, but still applies to us today.

When service was over, they asked if anyone could stay around and help tear down the theater to make room for Vacation Bible School which starts this week.  Canyon and I stayed to help take the stadium seats apart.

righty tighty, lefty loosey

After church, I got a call from my nephew Deano.  We call him Deano because his grandpa, my dad, is also named Dean and it helps avoid confusion.  Deano said he needed help changing his gas dryer.  When we arrived at Deano's he informed me that his old dryer had been on fire in the recent past and although it still worked (He was still using it!) he thought it would be best if we put in a different dryer.
As I changed the gas hook up, he decided to clean the lint out of the dryer vent.

I think there is a whole sheep in there

I'm going to get him a loom so he can make a sweater

I feel like I may have just saved a life.  Afterwords Robyn and I took Canyon and his cousins out for cheeseburgers, fries and a malt.

Yum!
We dropped them off at Deano's.  You tell me if we got enough sugar in them..

wired

We are gonna make excelent grandparents.  Our next stop was at our friend's, Doug and Jan, to see their new kittens.  I know this was dangerous.

awww..

Of course she want's to get another cat now.  But I told her when I come to bed now it is like trying to get into Noah's ark.  There are animals all over the bed.  I told her our next pet was going to be a fish because it won't sleep on my side of the bed.  Don't get me wrong, I liked the kittens too, and I think they liked me.  Check it out.

the human cat toy

Monday at work I finished up an install that is going to be in the Home Show.  I only had my phone camera so the pics are not that great but the bar has fiber optics in it that light up.  It's pretty cool.

Gonna be sweet

We also installed a yen yang coffee table with matching end table..

mod

Tuesday we had to tear out some failing concrete counter tops made by another company so we can install our new tops.  We hand loaded this 1200 pounds of concrete (Its a big bar) and hauled it to the dump.

notice the duct tape straps

We had to tie it down with duct tape and drive very slowly.  Amazingly, it held and we had to cut them loose at the dump.  Don't ever try this at home, we are trained professionals.

Here is a pic of the bar.  I will post finished pics when it is complete.

lots of work still to do

That's all for now,  but here is something to make you smile until next time..

ODDS AND ENDS

Yahoo!!  The rain stopped.  At least for a while.
Saturday we were invited to Grimes Iowa, a short jaunt from home, to 'Governor Days', formerly called 'Funtastic Days'.  It is an annual celebration in the city of Grimes.  They have things going on all weekend like a carnival, parades, concerts and fireworks.  We went to see an outdoor concert in the park, right next to the carnival.  Our friend Joleen is a former resident of Grimes and was thoughtful enough to ask us to join her.
As we walked past the carnival on our way to set up our chairs for the concert we noticed a small booth selling funnel cake...yummm... we love funnel cake.  We made a plan to stop back by there later.   Here is a picture of Joleen and us in the perfect spot we picked out.

You can tell how old I am by counting the wrinkles on my neck

OK.  Be honest.  Raise your hand if you counted the wrinkles.   Ok.  You can put your hand down, nobody can see you.
The concert was good.  It was a local favorite, The Nadas.  Some other friends from church, Mark and Sara, showed up and we chatted for a while.  Mark and I somehow got on the subject of Jackson Browne.  (I hear you asking and I don't know how we got there)  Here is some trivia for you.  What other hits are on the Lawyers in Lover album (for you youngsters thats like a big cd) besides Lawyers in Love?   Anyway, Joleen went over to see Mark and Sara's grandchild who was sitting somewhere else in the Governor's Days record breaking crowd so Robyn and I took the oppertunity to head to the funnel cake stand.  Just as we got our treat the fireworks started, so we sat at a nearby picnic table and enjoyed our dinner and a show.

Saddly, funnel cake clouds my usually quick thinking process and I took the video a little late in the fireworks display.  Afterwards we packed up our chairs and called it a night.

Sunday we worked in the cafe at Point of Grace.  I want to make a confession here, I had two donuts.
There, I feel better, glad to have that off my chest.  The service was pretty good.  It is a six week series about how God is being taken out of our country.  For instance, do you know our national motto?  It was  signed into law in the fifties by the president.  If you don't know, I'm not surprised.  Very few people do know.  It is actually 'In God We Trust'.  Every empire, nation or civilization that has taken God out of their laws or rules has fallen and disappeared.  Unfortunately, we are headed in that direction at break- neck speed.  This is the greatest country that has ever been, I only hope it is a great nation for my grandkids.  I'll be praying, you should too.

On the way home I spotted this peculiar vehical in the gas station parking lot.  I had to stop and get a pic.

one fast clown car
I walked up to a guy standing beside it and said "What is it?"  He told me it was an Austin.  I got closer and took a peek inside.  I saw a giant leg and realized that someone was in there.  There is only one seat and it was all the way to the back.  The man sitting in the seat was HUGE.  I said "Are you stuck?" because I couldn't see how he could possibly get out.  He chuckled and I asked how he got in there.  He said "Shoehorn."  I believed him.

I had told Canyon that I wanted the lawn mowed.  He has a way of becoming invisible when the grass gets long.  I sent him a video.

I haven't decided how he can repay me yet, but it will be good.

I was reading some past blogs and I came across one that said I would post part of my second installment of 'Brink'.  In case you don't know what 'Brink' is, it is a screen play I wrote that I am trying to get into some form of production.  Here is a file if you would like to read it.  Just copy and paste in your browser. I am always looking for feedback.

file:///Users/dan/Documents/transfer%20screenplay%20BRINK.pdf

Here is a short exerpt from part two...

Something in his periphial vision moved!  Blyth quickly turned to see what it was.  He thought he could see a pair of glowing eyes in the bushes.  Blyth blinked to make sure he wasn't seeing things.  The glowing eyes, though dimmer, were still watching him.  A chill ran down his back.  He took a step toward the eyes.  As he did so, the eyes seemed to fade backwards into the bushes.  With a jolt of adrenilan, Blyth lurched at the eyes! They suddenly disappeared.  The eyes didn't fade away, they closed and vanished.  The air in the bushes was freezing cold, Blyth could see his breath.  He noticed a faint odor of rotten eggs, then it too was gone.

Tuesday night we decided it was time for a home cooked meal.  Here is a quick video of us cooking.

I'm not sure how much help I really was, but it is the time we spend together that really matters.

Wednesday morning the strangest thing happened.  On my way to work I saw a strange creature by the side of the road.  I quickly made a u-turn and went back to get a picture.

It's not big foot

It was quite elusive.  But I followed it around through a residential neighborhood.  I wanted to get a good photo.  I was surprised by it's oddly comfortable attitude.  It walked right up to front doors and sat down.  I thought maybe somebody had it as an unusual pet.  I shot another picture.

Dang it.  He's quick

I was beginning to understand why all those pictures of the Loch Ness monster and Yeti are never very clear.  In the excitement of the moment it is hard to keep the camera still.  I couldn't understand why this critter would be out in the light of day.  Maybe rabbies?  I suddenly figured out a way to get it to sit still long enough to get a pic.

I howled, it listened

You don't see coyotes roaming the city streets during the morning comute everyday.  He must have been after a road runner.  (ha ha.  I crack me up)

So at work I spent the day as a steel worker.  I had to pick up twelve half inch thick steel brackets for a couple of bars we are going to install tomorrow.  Then I had to drill four holes in each one so I could install them.  Next I had to go to the house where the bars will be installed and dado the wall to accept the brackets.  It was a lot of work for something that will never be seen, but it had to be done.

I even cleaned up my mess

They will put stone on the wall.  It will be nice.  I will post pics after the install.

Well, it's after midnight so I will blog again real soon.  But before I go, the answer to the Jackson Browne trivia question.  Tender is the Night, and For a Rocker.  Ain't google awesome?

Peace

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

Canyon asked if he could have a friend over  Saturday night.  The condition we put on his request was that his friend (Hai) and he go to church with us Sunday morning.   So on the way to church I asked Hai if he usually went to church.  He said his family goes to St. Bonifice when they go.   I was thinking that our church may be a shock to his system because it is nothing like St. Bonifice at all.  It was a fantastic service, perfect in fact for Canyon, us and Hai.  There was a magician, a rapper and the message was about parenting.  Actually it was more about raising your children to have a good moral conscience.  Here is a link to Point of Grace.  Go to media at the bottom of the home page then select 'God and Country' and watch or listen to the service. (There was some technical difficulty with the magicians mic but the magic is pretty cool.)

Point of Grace - Point of Grace

If the link dosent work just copy and paste to your browser.

Hai said he had never seen church like that and said he wants to come back.  Praise God.

After Church I had Canyon scoop poop and I mowed the back yard.  I think it was near 100 degrees.  I let Canyon know that the front yard was his.  I went in to cool down and made some calls to find somebody to go to the golf tournement with me.  I could find no one on such short notice so I guilted Robyn into coming with me.
We had some difficulty finding the parking lot because signage was poor, but we did finally find it and we jumped on a shuttle to get to the golf course.  The "shuttle" was actually a charter bus and was air conditioned.  I went back to use the restroom in the back of the bus while we waited for it to take off.  My suggestion to you is to sit down when you do your business on a bus, because the bus abruptly took off and I almost went head first into the toilet.
Once there, we walked onto the golf course right at the time the leaders were coming by.  I took a video (with my phone because cameras weren't allowed) but for some reason it is not there,  but here is a video that I took with my phone at my niece Shonna's wedding.  It's pretty grainy but it makes me smile everytime I watch it.  It is my niece Ashley, Robyn and my sister Sherry doing a line dance.  I hope the sound works, if not sing to yourself.

I don't think they are ready for 'So You Think You Can Dance' but they're close.
Anyway, we followed the leaders around for a couple holes and found the 312 Party Deck.  It was a makeshift bar at the 14th green.  I don't know how the golfers could putt because the noise was just a bit louder than a golf clap.  The crowd was a little to big, and since we have a friend who lives in a house on the fifteenth fareway,  we decided to walk down that way and see if there was a party on the deck.  Sure enough as we walked by we were called up to the deck by several friends.  When we were offered a beer we were extremely grateful.  Did I mention that it was almost 100 degrees?  Robyn spent several minutes with the icy cold can held to the back of her neck.  We were even more grateful when the party moved indoors into the AC.  We hitched a ride back to our car from our friends and were excited to take showers and get to bed.

Monday at work we had to prep a garage floor for an epoxy job.  It was rather warm again the crack filler was setting up quickly so we had to work at a rapid pace.  It was epoxied and sealed Tuesday.  Here are a couple pics of the finished product.

It's a shame to park a car on it.

The sealer makes it shine

Tuesday Robyn took Canyon down to the courthouse for his ticket hearing.  The judge said she would drop the $450 ticket if we would go and get him insured and she would drop the $150 ticket if we went and got the car registered.  So Robyn and Canyon went and got those things taken care of and went back to the courthouse to finish the case.  The judge made him pay the $150 ticket for driving with out a liscense and $120 in court costs.  She then told him that when he went to get his liscense, it was up to the D.O.T. to decide if they would suspend it or not.  He would find out Friday.
When I got home the heat wave was finally breaking, but this was rolling in..

I don't think the heavy stuff will come down for a while

The western part of Iowa is experiencing some flooding, and it may aproach record levels with-in the next couple of weeks.  I tried to organize a trip to Sioux City (my home town) to help with sand bagging or what ever was needed, but Robyn and I couldn't make it happen.  I heard on the news that if we got some rain here, there was the possiblity of flooding here.  Well, Wednesday we got some rain..

And it kept on raining, torrential amounts through out the day.  It was still raining Thursday all day long, and after work My sister debbie asked if I would stop by her house and fix her bathroom vent fan.  She was at work but the painter was supposed to be there.  After that was done, I went and picked up an old friend I used to work with.  I wanted to have a beer with him and catch up, but I also wanted to give him a new devotional.  Point of Grace gives them out every three months.  I have several people that I love to give them to, and sometimes they call and ask when I can get one to them.  I really like that.   Here is a pic of my friend, Steve..

Canyon calls him his hippy friend

It was getting late and Robyn had ribs in the crock pot so I took Steve home and headed home.  There were some very dark clouds on the horizon and I knew more heavy rain was on the way.

Friday I stopped at a creek that I cross everyday on the way to work.  It had rained hard just a few hours before and more rain was on the way.  Here is a video I took of the creek..

I stopped by on the way home and took another video

So the water has receeded for now but we really need it to dry out for a while.  Luckily, rain dosen't effect our work load.  We have so many projects going on that we hired a new kid to help out in the forming area, and anywhere else he's needed.  Here's a pic.  His name is Ben.

A quick learner

Ben is going to school to be a dentist.  I call him Hermie.  I told him he was an elf and elfs make toys.  I hope he dosen't run away with Rudolph.
Seriously, we need him at the shop.  We have several large projects going on and an extra set of hands is much appreciated.  Here's a look at what is going on at the shop..

Next week is going to be a big week with installs.  We were able to do a small install today between rainfalls.  It's a table on a deck, check it out..

looks sharp

artsy fartsy,.. I like it

Canyon went down to get his liscense and the D.O.T. decided to suspend it for 6 months from the date of the ticket.  May 8th.  It's like ground hog day, 6 more months of driving him around.  It may be a blessing in disguise.  At least the streets are safe.

Well, I think the rain and hail is going to let up Saturday, at least for a day.  I can't wait to sleep in.  We'll see if that happens.

Peace

Dan
