SUPERBOWL SUNDAY

Woke up to more snow this morning. : (   But, we couldn't let that get us down, so after an hour of shoveling the problem was solved.  Unfortunately, that lead to another problem,  we weren't going to make it to church.
So we watched Pastor Salem on The Shepards Chapel.  He talked about Jacob's son Joseph.  How he never lost faith in God even though he was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery.  Then he was falsely accused by his owners wife and imprisioned.  Yet, by never taking his eyes off God these things didn't get him depressed, as a matter of fact he chose to make the best of them. No one could stop the plans God had to prosper him.  He soon became the second most important man in Egypt and used that power to save his own family from starvation.  He was blessed.  I want that kind of faith.

The day went on and we had to take Canyon to work.  After dropping him off Robyn and I began "doing the list".  First stop, return the movie.  Then we needed to stop at Cost Cutters for some product.  I don't think this beautiful hear needs any product.

With that out of the way we went on to Menards for some rubber liner material.  It will help stop things from sliding around the back of the Kia.  That done we set our sights on Best Buy.  After straining our eyes to watch the movie on that little TV we knew something must be done.

The Geek squad advised me that from what I told them it would be around $800 to fix my big screen TV.  Yikes!  Well, with the cost of a new, bigger TV being only $779 I think you can figure out what happened.

We put it on our best buy card for two years no interest. Anyone wanna buy a broken TV.  I got one, cheap.

I got the new TV hooked up and it was time to pick up Canyon.  

Parched after another hard days work

Robyn began making our super bowl feast while Canyon and I tested out our seats for the big game.  I had 8 and 2 in the pool at work.  Thats some pretty lously numbers but it made it interesting for us trying to figure out who needed a safety or two point conversion and a field goal with an onside kick recovered for a touchdown so that my numbers would work.  The food was getting done just as the game was about to begin.

We had so much food.  But we decided not to go with those chicken paws we saw yesterday.  We did have tortilla chip with a spicey chicken and cheese dip,  hot wings, veggies and dip, salami and cheese.  It was awesome.

We fixed our plates and sat down for kick off.  I ate so much I had to unbuckle my belt and undo my jeans.  Robyn ridiculed me for not wearing sweats so AFTER the commercials I went up and changed.  

Needles to say, my numbers didn't come up, but it was a pretty good game and the NFC won.  Now it's baseball season!  GO CUBBIES!!
